Contraction Timer – Labor (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Alessandro Pace (“we”, “our”, or “us”), and this Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your information when you use the App. We value your privacy and strive to ensure your data is protected and used only in ways that align with your expectations.

   Contraction Timer – Labor is a companion app designed to help you log and track contractions (frequency, duration, intensity), generate summaries, and export reports for personal use or to share with your healthcare provider. This policy applies to the use of the App. As the sole developer, I am committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring your data is handled securely.

2. Storage and Syncing of Data

   All user data within Contraction Timer – Labor is stored locally on your device and, if you enable it, synchronized across devices using Apple’s iCloud service. Specifically, the App uses CloudKit, which stores data in your private iCloud database. This ensures you have full control over your data, and it is never shared with third parties or external services.

Data Types Stored:

• Contraction logs (frequency, duration, intensity, time stamps)

• Exported session reports (if you choose to create them)

• User settings and preferences related to the App

Your data remains in your iCloud account, which means you retain ownership and can manage or delete it through Apple’s iCloud settings.

3. Protection of Personally-Identifying Information

   Contraction Timer – Labor does not transmit any Personally-Identifying Information (PII) to external servers or third-party services. All contraction data and reports remain confined to the App and your personal iCloud database.

We also use RevenueCat to help manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. The data collected by RevenueCat is anonymized and consists only of transactional data (such as purchase history and subscription status) necessary to process and manage your subscriptions.

• We do not collect, share, or store any personal information with RevenueCat.

• Any data sent is anonymized and used only for subscription management and related analytics.

Third-Party Services for Payments and Subscriptions:

To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions, we use RevenueCat, a third-party service.

RevenueCat may collect and process:

• Subscription status (active, expired, trial period)

• Purchase history (past purchases or subscriptions)

• Transaction information (necessary to process payments)

   We take security very seriously. By relying on Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure, iCloud services, and iOS security measures, your data benefits from the robust privacy and security measures Apple provides. While no online service can guarantee complete security, we take all reasonable steps to ensure your data remains private and secure.

5. Your Data Rights

   Because all your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, you have full control over it. You can:

• Access and manage your data directly via the App

• Delete any or all of your data within the App or through your iCloud account settings

• Discontinue syncing data to iCloud by disabling iCloud for Contraction Timer – Labor in your iOS settings

   Contraction Timer – Labor is intended as a support tool only. It is not a medical device and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.

Always consult your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider about contraction frequency and duration. The App provides standard indicators (such as the 5-1-1 rule) but every pregnancy and labor can differ. If labor pains become severe or you are concerned, seek medical attention immediately, regardless of what the App suggests.
